In a sense, the fascination with women is at the heart of Manar's entire oeuvre. The Italian master has tirelessly celebrated them, in all epochs, in all situations, through different media (comics, illustrations, advertisements ...). The concept of the "Manara Woman" has even become an archetype of femininity, an object of fantasy and constant adoration by both sexes: men want her as the perfect object of conquest, women see her as an ideal. This album collects illustrations created throughout the artist's career, with an emphasis on works from recent years. It includes portraits of actresses, prints created for posters, print or advertising, reinterpretations of the most famous female characters from the artist's albums, commissions for exhibitions and private drawings.
